As wrote in the previous blog curry and rice is very popular in Japan family as top 1 food children love. Writing the blog I had feeling to like to have it so I cooked.
It is very easy to cook it using curry roux.
How to cook as basic standard curry and rice:
1. Cut, Slice vegetables ( onions, potatoes, carrots)
2. Cut meats ( beef, pork or chicken as you like) to small pieces
3. Saute onions in a pan
4. Saute the meats
5. Put the onions, meats and other vegetables and add water
6. Stew with the pan ( around 15 to 30min.)
7. Add roux then stew around 15min.
8. Put the stew on boiled white rice.
Famous curry roux brand are S&B, House, Glico and you can find them easily at supermarkets, convenience stores or other shops in Japan.
You can select spicy level of mild, medium hot or hot.
Also available in amazon ( but of course cheaper in Japan).
