I love "Gyoza" (pan fried dumpligs ) and we can have it easily everywhere in Japan but some cities or towns are famous with Gyoza's popularity and/or some unique Gyoza and their restaurants.
In Tokyo Kamata which is located south east side of Tokyo and close to the boarders of Kanagawa prefecture is famous as Gyoza town with the unique ones called "Hanetsuki Gyoza".
(Also there are good Tonkatsu restaurants in Kamata and I would like to touch upon the topics later)
"Hane (羽根)" means wings and
"tsuki (付き)" means "with" in Japanese so "Hanetsuki Gyoza" means "Gyoza" with wings.
They have thin pot stickers made from flour pastes and the shape looks wings so they are called "Hanetsuki Gyoza".
I heard restaurant " Ni hao" in Kamata invented them and some other near restaurants were influenced and started cooking similar style as well.
Famous and my recommended restaurants are follows.

2. Konparu ( 金春 ）
I love their Hanetsuki Gyoza. The volume inside was large and I felt the meat potion was high. The taste was very good with and juicy meat. Of course they have wings.

I visited this restaurant recently and loved their Gyoza which was very tasty. I heard its owner is son of the owner of the "Konparu" which I love as I wrote above and I understood that's why I loved it as well.
